Illustration and Design - Sometimes Smart Sometimes Not

I was working on a logo type and this is how I represented that old German name I was born with - witty - maybe.

That smart car is ok - rendered in ink - I think I like it better than the logo type.

This is another one of my many commutes, mapped out in literal time, this is a 45 minute commute in June 2006 on a Thursday....I think. Its the Truth.

I have had these two in a sketchbook and thought they were itching to get out there. One looks alot like someone I know and the other is influenced by a roommate in Italy....only a few will know what that means. I enjoy the rapidograph pens and these drawing were built that way.....all analog Mr. - if that is even your real name.

Illustration - Art Direction

I have been busy, but thats not to say I have been avoiding the creative moments. These are two illustrations that were done for an Enviromental Mag Jimmy and I Art Directed and produced over the past few months. Its been a great experience and these are 2 images from that rag. The first is ink on paper, and the second is a collabrative effort between us, its used motor oil, pencil, and photoshop. Cheers.
